When business process engineering techniques are applied to a creative project, something unique and wonderful happens. I use the metaphor ‘to illuminate’ when I describe this situation. The illumination of the process of creation brings about an excitement in the participants that is infectious.
As I have stated many times and have alluded to many times on this web portal, creative people are often jealous of their process. Not necessarily of sharing it, but certainly of analyzing it. That’s understandable, my own creative process is a weird and wonderful monster that I’m convinced is my own to feed.
And understanding it’s sleep cycle is another conversation entirely.
But when the process of bringing to life a creative based business is put under examination – illuminated – it becomes an inspiration. The participants feel the excitement of the moment. And in every case, intuition becomes a guide - new and interesting avenues (frequently unexplored avenues) come to light.
